GOSPEL MEETINGS IN THIS SUMMER & CHURCHES IN INDIA

It is unbelievable to know that the Christian faith in India is alive and kicking and growing. It is real miracle that the Christian believers in churches are vibrant and the Sprit of God is moving among them.

Every day new believers are coming to the fold of Christian faith.

The ministry is also growing among the unreached areas and many Christian ministers, Evangelists and Faith workers are performing great faith works
for the Glory of Lord Jesus. Many miracles and healings are
happening in many parts of the India and the Lord’s name is glorified.

If you look into the range of meetings which are taking place in every town, it is amazing that the Holy sprit is working among many faithfuls.

Great things are being performed for the glory of Lord.

All the opponents of the Christian faith are perplexed by the events
which are taking place in India.

The growths of the churches are exceptionally good in spite of many road blocks/struggles from various factors. Sometimes even organized churches
are against the Gospel meetings and some denominations are
against other denominations doing Gospel works.
.
For example in India, Catholic Churches own many schools and very large
Churches and they donot allow evangelical meetings organized by other
denominations in their campus or buildings.
The CSI churches sometimes donot allow these meetings in their premises and
some place they do allow, it all depends on the local committees/administrative set-ups/ and personal understanding with the evangelical meeting organizers.

In some places, the organized churches conduct spiritual meetings
for their believers.

If you wish to spread the gospel in India, through Gospel meetings you
need to know local people/organizers and some group of
influencing members of the community and organize the meetings
with contributions from the enthusiastic followers.

The preacher must be power filled person and anointed by the Holy Sprit and be able to deliver the Gospel with miracles. The Lord is doing wonderful miracles
and many miracles are reported in the meeting itself which
has reassured many faithfuls for the wonderful love of Christ.

This summer (May-June`2005), many gospel meetings were conducted all over South India and ministers/Gospel workers/Preachers traveled allover south India and participated in many meetings which has brought
showers of blessings to many people.

Those in bondages were delivered. Many deformations were cured
and many sinners have accepted Christ as personal Savior
and some have renewed their faith.

This is wonderful summer 2005

All most all the meetings were conducted in the open air and these Gospel meetings were organized by the collection of individuals, or
fellowship group or some prayer group or some individual group
who have vision for India and prayed and worked for
India to be reached with Gospel.

But the so called organized Churches were not happy with these gospel meetings and raising many allegations against the speakers, sometimes they were unresponsive….

In spite of these problems these Gospel meetings were successful and many meetings brought many new faithfuls to these churches. Pentecostal
churches are very enthusiastic about these meetings and some
participated whenever they were invited.

However the north India is largely untouched by these gospel meetings.

Many cities have not heard Jesus name even once.
Some states in north India like Himachel Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, U.P. and many other states in North India, were the Christian population is very limited or next to nil, the gospel meetings did not take place.
There were no gospel meetings for the whole year or some times even for five or seven years and some places it is for decades. We pray Lord that the north India be blessed and there shall be gospel meeting soon.

The reason for no gospel meetings in north India are many and chief among them are social and some times it is the local community. For example,
all the Christian converts are from Low Castes or Tribes/adivasi
and so the regular people/ community are not touched
or not interested in the Christian faith.

We pray Lord Jesus for this situation to be changed.

Another reason is that some state governments in North India are having nationalist outlook and so they act against Christianity which they call as a
foreign religion and give maximum trouble and oppose the meeting.

We hope and pray to change the situation in India, where more than half of the population is under the poverty line. Caste dominations are enforced by the local community and hierarchies of castes are maintained and
thus forcing a whole generation of community to work in
inhuman conditions which is worse than slavery.

India needs Gospel to liberate from poverty, caste discrimination, liberation of women, girl child from suppression and host of many
other social and evil factors.
Addiction to the following is very dangerous to the well being of the society.
The unreached are addicted to alcohols, tobacco, cocaine,
adulatory, prostitution, cinema and many more..,
Sex discrimination, slums and many other factors which are
acting as strong men of India and The Gospel should deliver people and liberate communities from these “strongmen” (Mathew 12:29
